These bottle cages are an excellent choice for MTB or bikepacking. Very sturdy and grip bottles tight. Can be gently squeezed if their embrace loosens over time. They look cool in a classic sort of way too. The low clearance is excellent for fork blade mounted bosses - didn't interfere with my brakes on the Karate Monkey. Lightweight, robust, capable, and a good price too - to anyone who thinks the El cheapo ones work just as good... you haven't ridden over your recently ejected bottle on a steep descent and had your heart in your throat for the remainder of the trail... yet. These cages are trustworthy!
