These are a great compromise that sit between MTB and bikepacking. Just did the Waikato Rv Trails with them - there's just enough on the side for cornering in the rough but the high rolling speed was welcome on the new (grrr!!!) tar seal section. I have them on my Surly Troll which, having no suspension, loves the 2.6" width, as do my wrists.
